-LG-TacticalTrout Does Not Hack

*** I have posted this here in General / Miscellaneous so that it may be viewed by non-registered players as well. I want to ensure that players and admins from other servers can see this without burden of registry. ***

-LG-TacticalTrout does not hack...never has, and never will.

Ladies and Gentlemen, recently my character and dignity has come under fire from a player who calls himself PsYcOTiC. PsYcOTiC is registered here on the LG site and has a presence on other game servers and webservers. It seems that he has recorded a demo of me claiming that I wallhack. I have reviewed said demo, and have come to the conclusion that PsYcOTiC is not the know-it-all that he claims to be and seemingly leads others to believe that he is.

It took me awhile to respond...a great deal of that was that as an admin I don't want to do a knee-jerk reaction and blow up on this whole deal. The demo was recorded and submitted on July the 2nd. At first, I blew it off thinking that some admins will look at this demo and explain to him that what he was seeing was a decent player having a great game...not a hack. I thought surely this PsYcOTiC player will use good judgment and realize their mistake...surely PsYcOTiC will withdraw the hack claim, step up and admit that his hackusation was misguided. Surely this PsYcOTiC player will come to his senses. No dice. Trading a PM with PsYcOTiC, what I got back was...

If I had a dollar for every time person I have decided is a hacker has denied it and "assured" me they are clean I would be a rich man.

It is fine that your clan couches for your innocence because that is their problem and not mine but I will say what i want when and where I want because I am a man and nobody is going to tell me what I can and cannot do... especially on someone else's server.

Folks, I have been playing beside many of you for years as an -LG- player and as an -LG- admin. Before coming here, I was part of the |30+| clan, also as an admin. I have played (probably too many hours) on plenty of other servers and have gained the respect of players and admins from Rudd's servers, oK|' s servers, |WC|'s servers and probably a few others. I tried to blow these unfounded hackusations off, but the truth of the matter is that they burn a hole in me. I hate a hacker to no end and cannot be still knowing that someone truly thinks that I am one.

So...the demo in question and the hackusations surrounding it...

@ 28:21 Sees blue through the shelf floor
@ 28:11 snap and quick scope
@ 28:06 traces blue behind faucet (this is the most obvious)
@ 26:17 it is obvious that he sees the 2 blues on the floor because he looks down for no reason right at both of them
@ 26:06 scanning room through container in cabinet
@ 25:07 instant scope and shot after spawn

there are many other suspicious occurrences in the demo but these were the most relevant.


If you'd like my take and commentary on it...

I should thank him for recording this, actually...I was ON FIRE! That knife kill at 27:40 is frigging epic! And that triple kill at 27:15 is pretty awesome...although really the players just lined up for me.

28:21 (PsYcOTiC claims that I see through shelf floor)...BS...I am pacing and watching the common spawn areas. This map affords a player with high ground to watch multiple spawns.

28:11 (PsYcOTiC claims snap and quick scope) So am I supposedly wallhacking or aimbotting? WH does not "snap" as he puts it. I pace, watch, scope and aim. This instance my scoping didn't need much aiming.

28:06 (PsYcOTiC claims traces behind faucet) I don't see tracing...I actually thought that he'd come from the other side WHERE YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE HIS MUZZLE FLASH A SECOND BEFORE, but he actually comes from the right. Nevertheless, he suffered the wrath of my trusty PSG

***^^ For both of these marks, let me add that at 28:11, I hit -LG-reaper for 97 percent. With 3% or less health, where in the hell else is he going to go except behind the faucet? Utter BS...and this was "The most obvious??????".

26:17 (PsYcOTiC claims I see blue on floor) Again, pacing the spawns.

26:06 (PsYcOTiC claims scanning) I've played this map plenty, but haven't been able to check out all the details. Did you see the boobs on that blue chick? Wowza!
If I had been looking through the mug there is absolutely nothing to look at from these angles...a shower wall? WTF?

25:07 (PsYcOTiC claims instant scope and shoot on spawn) I don't see it...I think he is grasping at this point.

At this point, folks, I'd like to see either an apology from him or see or him removing himself from the -LG- servers until he gets a grip on himself. His -LG- application gets an f2 from me until he figures things out.

That being said, it is a shame that PsYcOTiC reacted in the PM the way he did. Showing some respect would probably have made the whole situation a little less dramatic. And we all know where arrogance leads here on -LG-... nowhere.

Trout, there is hardly a higher form of compliment then being accused by a skilled player. I sincerely hope you and PsYcOTiC can get along again in future; playing with you guys has always been a pleasure and it would be ashame if you hold a grudge against him and vice versa.

Part of what he did is indeed protocol. Sadly, though, he called me out in chat on our TDM server for all to see and then took the harassment to the WC's Eagle server.

I know that our clan and plenty of others have had players go bad...I was part of the whole iPlayer / Zodiac fiasco awhile back and remember several other folks that were active on our servers that ended up going nuts. I guess if we were more active like we used to be and spent a bunch of time on TeamSpeak, a great deal of our individual character would come to light.

Agreed that it is a compliment to a players skill to be accused...and I was having a good game. PsYcOTiC's continued pursuit of the matter and his statements in PM here and stuff he has said on -LG- and other servers and their admins is what has made this a big deal to me. Grudge-wise, I've spoken my side...the ball is in his court now.

I'll look at the demo when I can and form my own opinion. I appreciate you posting it. Personally, from having played you a number of times, I don't believe you hack. I've NEVER, EVER gotten the spidey (hack) sense from you. The highest compliment is when you're called a hack, for good or bad. That said, Psychotic did the right thing in going spec, demo-ing and submitting. The public declaration of a hack when unconfirmed is not the right approach.

There was a time, back in the day, when I thought -LG-Scrible was a hack, before he was in the clan. He knows I thought he was, and I've told him I thought so after the fact. It really was a moment that taught me a lesson. I speced him, took demos, and... I was absolutely wrong. There are just those that are truly that good. Who are intuitive. Who know the map, the spawn areas, and play the odds. Scrible was one of them. I believe, too, that you are in that vein. I know that Psychotic is a "friend" of -LG-. I don't want this to jeopardize that friendship and hope that friendship can continue. That this can be a learning experience for everyone.

Of course, I'll look at the demo and judge for myself because that's what we do.

I think it was the same admin that banned you twice.

I've played with trout for many years now before I was even an -LG-. He ran around with the Knife and DE and did a good job of owning everyone on S2 back in the day. He either sliced and diced, shot you, or did both. Not to mention his trademark "I'm a knife cutcutcutcutcut."

I never thought trout hacked then, and I still don't now.

I am not sure what "continued pursuit" you speak of.... I said my peace and I haven't mentioned it here or anywhere else since. If everyone feels or is convinced or whatever that you do not cheat, so be it. I have not harassed you in game since I replied to your PM nor do I care to... I can simply choose not to play when you are on a server and grumble to myself.

There has been many times I have been in the situation where I have reported what is known to be a "good" player and I determined they were a "good player" with a wallhack and ultimately I have been proven right later down the road... not necessarily with my demo but proven right none the less. So far only once has the proof not been realized but only once so far. On that one... others (well known server owners) as well are convinced that person was wallhacking but none have ever been able to get the solid proof necessary to show the greater URT community that there is a rat in the flour but asked me to continue to demo and get the proof necessary.

I can't count how many times I would catch a total noob with a shiny new hack not even knowing how to make it not look so obvious with the spawn calibrations, aimbot snapping etc. etc. and when I bust them they profess violently how they are not hacking. This is no different that anyone else telling me they don't hack when I demo and submit them no matter who they are or what clan they occupy, admins or not.

All this being said... your clan says you do not hack and so be it... I will not "retract" my "hackusation" (how is it a hackusation if I demo but whatever) because I think you hack and that was my demo. If your clan feels it needs to be removed that is their right and I will not protest because I have done what I believe is right and it is no longer in my hands.

Your bad talking about me is hypocritical of you while professing that I am bad talking you by accusing you of hacking and in my experience the ones that cry the loudest and deny the most.... have been guilty.

Also there is no application from me trout... I withdrew it many days before any of this happened so f2 from me too bud. and if it is decided that I must be removed from the -LG- servers for reporting you (as you say because you are an admin) then so be it as well... it is the clans decision.

So in closing... let's all be nice and civil from this point on and I will do as I said I was already doing (not publicly trashing you in your clans servers and website.... unlike you) and all move on.

BTW... I do apologize for trashing you on the WC server... that was wrong and when I mentioned it on the -LG- server just before that, I realized what I was doing and left so sorry for that too. I am, however, not going to apologize for making a demo and reporting you.
